What Is the Volunteer Fee?

The volunteer fee is an annual, refundable fee collected at registration. Its purpose is to encourage active participation from families in supporting league operations and maintenance. Erial Little League is a volunteer‑run organization, and this fee helps ensure that every family contributes to keeping our programs running smoothly.

How Do Families Recoup the Fee?

Families may receive a full refund of the volunteer fee by completing approved volunteer activities during the season. Once the required service is completed and verified, the fee will be refunded.

Eligible Volunteer Opportunities

Below are the primary ways families can fulfill their volunteer commitment:

1. Snack Stand Support

• Work a scheduled shift at one of the Erial Snack Stands (Majors Field or Jr./Sr. Field).

• Assist with food preparation, customer service, restocking, and cleanup.

2. Field Clean‑Up Days

• Participate in pre‑season or in‑season field maintenance events.

• Activities may include raking, lining fields, equipment cleanup, painting, repairs, and general upkeep.

3. Coaching or Assistant Coaching

• Serve as a head coach or assistant coach for a team.

• Must complete required league clearances and attend any mandatory meetings.

4. Fun Day Activities

• Support the setup, staffing, or breakdown of Fun Day events.

• Assist with games, concessions, raffles, or event coordination.

5. General Help Around the Complex

• Assist with ongoing projects and operational needs throughout the season.

• Tasks may include groundskeeping, equipment organization, handyman work, and other league‑assigned duties.

Verification and Refund Process

• All volunteer hours must be recorded and validated by an authorized Board Member.

• Once your family has met the volunteer requirement, the fee will be refunded electronically or by check, in accordance with league policy.
